| Note | Encompassing approximately 450 acres, the Conway-Robinson State Forest is a multiple use forest, situated in a suburban setting just outside of Gainesville, VA. An extensive housing development borders the forest on the west and the Manassas National Battlefield borders the forest on the east. The property is forested and contains a mixture of upland hardwoods with a few small areas containing pine. High deer densities are limiting forest regeneration and impacting the health of the forest and entire ecosystem. No hunting is permitted except for deer, which is only done through a draw hunt program offered by the VDOF.
