NotePrimarily forested, Highland WMA is comprised of 3 separate tracts (Jack Mountain, Bullpasture Mountain and Little Doe Hill) in Highland County and totals 14,283 acres. Elevations range from 1,800-4,390 feet and the terrain is generally steep; however, there is a fair amount of gently sloping ground. However, there is a fair amount of gently sloping ground. Within the Bullpasture Mtn Track, the Bullpasture River offers excellent stocked trout fishing. The WMA is accessed by seasonally opened roads, while more remote areas are accessed by foot travel only.
